teamLab Planets Tokyo tickets: when they go on sale
A month at a time, two to three months ahead, on the official Ticket Store; teamLab announces each month on its site rather than on a fixed day. On 15 October 2026, dates through December were on sale and January was due from late October.
- When does booking open?
- A month at a time, about two to three months ahead. No fixed day or hour is published. On 15 October 2026, the official site and store said January 2027 tickets would go on sale from late October (the Japanese site says around the end of October); nothing was announced yet for February. Some blogs say the 1st of each month; the official site does not.
- How far ahead is that?
- About 2 to 3 months.
- Where do I book?
- The official Ticket Store (in English, run by DMM), or Lawson Ticket, Seven Ticket and Klook. No tickets at the door. Groups of 20 or more apply through a separate form.
- Does it sell out?
- On 15 October 2026 the official store marked every date up to 25 November as having a few tickets left and December as open, with no date sold out. teamLab publishes no figures.
- Can I cancel or change?
- No refunds. Tickets from the official store can change date and time up to 3 times, until 2 hours before the slot, for the whole order only. Arriving after your slot still gets you in that day.

How to book
Buy on the official Ticket Store. As a guest you can pay by card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners), PayPay or UnionPay; with a free DMM account, only cards, and not Mastercard. One QR ticket covers the whole order. Adults from 3,800 yen, varying by date and time. Open 8:00 to 22:00, last entry 21:00.
You walk barefoot, through water up to knee height in places: wear trousers that roll up above the knee, or borrow the free shorts there.
If it’s sold out
Look again on the official store (other people’s date changes free up slots), check Lawson Ticket, Seven Ticket and Klook, or try an 8:00 weekday slot. The Premium Pass (12,000 yen, entry at any time in its slot without queuing) is sold separately. teamLab Borderless at Azabudai Hills is the other teamLab museum in Tokyo.
Buy only from the official store or the sellers listed on teamlab.art: resold tickets are cancelled, and teamLab has warned of fake sites.
Booking for a group
Up to 10 tickets per order, fewer if stock is low. One QR code admits the whole order, so go in together, or send each person their ticket from the store beforehand. The number of tickets cannot change after buying, and date changes move the whole order.
Children under 13 must enter with an adult 18 or over, with one adult for every three children, counting those who go free. Groups of 20 or more book through the group form, at group prices.
Good to know
- Watch the official site from late in the month for the next release, and book weekends as soon as they appear.
- The museum is closed on some days (5 November and 3 December 2026) and is due to close for good at the end of 2027.
