When does booking open?
Around the 1st of the month, two months before your admission date. That is the official FAQ wording, as of 4 November 2026, and it is approximate: no hour and no exact day is published. The calendar on the ticket store shows which dates are on sale, so check it in the week you expect your month to open. The museum is permanent, so there is no closing date to plan around.
How far ahead is that?
Up to about 2 months ahead; same-day tickets exist if a date is not sold out.
Where do I book?
Online, on the official teamLab Borderless ticket store (borderless-azabudai.ticket.teamlab.art), reached from teamlab.art/e/tokyo. The museum is at Azabudai Hills Garden Plaza B, basement level 1, in Minato, Tokyo. teamLab also lists Klook as an official sales channel. Groups book through JTB, linked from the official page.
Does it sell out?
teamLab publishes no sales figures for Borderless. The official FAQ says same-day tickets are sold on the official site when a date is not sold out, so a busy date is worth checking again closer to the day. Tickets are also sold on site, at 200 yen more according to the official page.
Can I cancel or change?
No cancellation: refunds are given only if teamLab closes unexpectedly. You can change the date up to 3 times, until 2 hours before your entry time (2 hours before last entry for the Flexible Pass), but only for tickets bought on the official site, only to the same ticket type, and only for the whole order. A sold-out slot cannot be chosen. Resale is prohibited.
When do teamLab Borderless tickets go on sale?

Can you buy teamLab Borderless tickets on the day?
Yes, on the official site if the date is not sold out. Tickets are also sold on site, at 200 yen more than online according to the official page.
How much is a teamLab Borderless ticket?
On 4 November 2026 the official page listed the Entrance Pass at 3,400 yen for adults and the Flexible Pass at 12,000 yen. Adult prices use dynamic pricing, so check the store.
Can you change a teamLab Borderless ticket?
Up to 3 times, until 2 hours before entry, if it was bought on the official site, for the same ticket type and the whole order. There is no cancellation or refund.
Is teamLab Borderless the same as teamLab Planets?
No. Borderless is a permanent museum at Azabudai Hills with no map. Planets is a separate museum in Toyosu, with its own ticket store and its own booking pattern.

How to book

Work out your opening day: around the 1st of the month, two months before the month you want. A visit in mid February, for example, points to around 1 December.

Open the official ticket store and check the calendar for your date. Choose the Entrance Pass, which has an entry time, or the Flexible Pass, which has none.

Pick the ticket type with care. The date can be changed up to 3 times, but never to a different ticket type, and never for just part of a multi-ticket order.

Buy only from the official store or the sellers listed on teamlab.art. Resold tickets are not allowed.

On the day, go in with your ticket. The Share your ticket feature starts 24 hours before your visit and lets you send tickets from a group order to the others in the party.

If it’s sold out

Check the calendar for nearby dates, and check again closer to the day, because same-day tickets are sold on the official site when a date is not sold out.

Look at the Flexible Pass, 12,000 yen on 4 November 2026, which has no entry time. It lets you go in at any time up to one hour before closing.

Look at other entry times. The museum opens at 8:30 and closes at 21:00, and at 22:00 on some dates, with last entry an hour before closing.

Plan teamLab Planets instead. It is a different museum in Toyosu, with water you walk through barefoot and tickets released a month at a time. See the teamLab Planets guide on Tripmo.

Booking for a group

One adult can bring up to 5 children, and the count includes children who enter free.

Groups use the group admission route through JTB, linked from the official page. Ordinary tickets for a party are bought on the ticket store in one order.

Each visitor needs a ticket. Free entry applies only to children aged 3 and under.
