How to book
Book at sleeper.scot. The train runs between London Euston and Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness and Fort William. Choose a seat or a room: Classic Room, Club En-suite, Caledonian Double En-suite, or an accessible double or twin, for solo or shared use.
The booking system holds a room for 40 minutes while you pay. Tickets are e-tickets for Apple Wallet or a printed PDF. Fares vary by date and room; there is no published fare table.
If you already hold a valid National Rail ticket or pass, you can buy a Room Supplement instead of a full fare. It is not valid for travel on its own.
If it’s sold out
Check other room types or the seated coach on the same train, nearby destinations on the same route, or the nights either side.
Look again closer to the date: cancellations within the refund rules return rooms to sale.
Booking for a group
Online bookings are limited to 8 guests. Larger groups can make several smaller bookings with the same email and phone number, or contact the Groups Team at groupenquiries@caledoniansleeper.scot, which replies within 24 hours.
Children aged 0 to 4 travel free with a paying adult, one per adult. Under-12s must share a room, or an interconnecting room, with an adult. Children aged 12 to 15 can have their own room only if it is directly next to the adult's.
Good to know
- Book as soon as your date is inside the 12-month window if you need a particular night.
- Cancel at least 7 days before travel to get all your money back.
- If you have a rail pass or National Rail ticket, compare a Room Supplement with a full fare.
- Change or cancel online through Amend My Booking until 7 days before travel; after that, use live chat.
