Eurostar tickets: how far ahead you can book
Eurostar says trains to or from London, and between France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, can be booked between 10 and 11 months ahead. On 15 October 2026, Paris to London trains were on sale up to Sunday 5 September 2027; no release time is published.
- When does booking open?
- 10 to 11 months before travel. The furthest date moves forward in steps rather than day by day, and Eurostar says it can vary, for example with engineering works. On 15 October 2026, Paris to Brussels showed some mid-August 2027 dates as planned but not yet on sale, so check your own date. Exceptions: Snow Trains usually go on sale in July, London to Disneyland Paris via Lille usually 4 months ahead, and Eurostar Snap up to 10 days ahead.

- Where do I book?
- On eurostar.com or the Eurostar app, open to buyers from any country (choose United Kingdom if yours is not listed). London journeys need passport details for every passenger.
- Does it sell out?
- Eurostar says weekends and bank holidays are always very busy, and prices rise as trains fill. There is no published figure for how fast trains sell out.
- Can I cancel or change?
- Standard and Plus: free date or time changes up to 1 hour before departure (pay any difference), and refunds for a 25 GBP / 25 EUR / 40 USD fee per leg, per person, up to 7 days before. Premier: free changes and refunds until 48 hours after departure. Snap: no changes or refunds. Names cannot be changed.

How to book
There are three classes, Eurostar Standard, Plus and Premier, and prices rise as the train fills. Children under 4 travel free on a lap; under 12s get 30% to 50% off on London routes.
Eurostar Snap sells cheaper Standard seats up to 10 days ahead: you choose morning or afternoon and are told the train 48 hours before. Snap is for adults only, has no seat choice, and cannot be changed or refunded. Requests by phone or at a station add a 12 GBP / 14 EUR / 20 USD service charge.
If it’s sold out
Try Eurostar Snap within 10 days of travel, another time of day or another class, and check again as the date nears: other passengers change their bookings.
Between Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, check other operators where they run.
Booking for a group
Book everyone in one order. On London routes you can choose seats in Manage your booking. On routes between France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, Standard passengers cannot choose seats; Plus and Premier can, subject to availability.
Each traveller's name is fixed on the ticket. More than 15 people book through Eurostar's Groups team, by phone or a quote form. A Snap booking takes up to 4 adults, and Eurostar does not recommend it with children, as seats may not be together.
Good to know
- Book once your dates are firm: Standard and Plus can be changed free up to an hour before departure, so an early booking carries little risk.
- A Standard or Plus ticket moved to a later date within 7 days of departure becomes non-refundable.
- On London trains, allow time for passport and security checks at Paris Gare du Nord.
