Eiffel Tower summit tickets: when they go on sale
Lift tickets, including the summit, go on sale on the tower's official ticket site 90 days before your visit, and stairs tickets 60 days before. On 15 October 2026 the site sold lift tickets up to Wednesday 13 January 2027; the time of day new dates appear is not published.
- When does booking open?
- 90 days before your visit for lift tickets. The ticket site says 90 days 'with a few exceptions'. Stairs tickets to the 2nd floor open 60 days before. Some of the tower's own FAQ pages still say 60 days for lift tickets, but the ticket site showed the full 90 days on 15 October 2026. The summit closes for maintenance every January (5 January to 6 February in 2026); the 2027 dates are not announced, and the ticket site already showed no online summit tickets for 6, 12 and 13 January 2027.
- How far ahead is that?
- About 3 months ahead for the lift, 2 months for the stairs.
- Where do I book?
- Online only on the tower's official ticket site, ticket.toureiffel.paris, which works from abroad. The tower's ticket offices also sell tickets on the day, for immediate use, while they last.
- Does it sell out?
- The tower says lift tickets, mostly to the summit and 2nd floor, sell out quickly in busy periods. On 15 October 2026, summit tickets were gone online for 28 October, in the French school holidays, but still on sale for 21 October. There is no published figure.
- Can I cancel or change?
- None. Once the purchase is confirmed, tickets cannot be cancelled, exchanged, changed or refunded, and are valid only for their floor, date and time. A misspelt name can be corrected by email.

How to book
Each ticket is for one floor, one date and one time slot; a summit ticket includes the 1st and 2nd floors. Until 10 January 2027 the summit by lift costs 36.70 EUR for adults (25 and over), 18.40 EUR for ages 12 to 24, and 9.20 EUR for ages 4 to 11 and disabled visitors; under 4 is free but needs a free ticket. From 11 January 2027 these become 37.70, 18.90 and 9.40 EUR.
Other tickets: the 2nd floor by lift is 23.50 EUR, by stairs 14.80 EUR, and the summit by stairs then lift 28.00 EUR (24.10, 15.20 and 28.80 EUR from 11 January 2027). The stairs-then-lift summit ticket is sold online only in very small numbers, mostly at the tower for immediate use.
A 2nd-floor ticket cannot be upgraded to the summit at the tower.
If it’s sold out
Try other dates and times on the official calendar, or the 2nd floor by stairs, which can often be booked at the last minute. At the tower, the ticket offices sell lift tickets and the stairs-then-lift summit ticket for immediate use, depending on the crowds; summit ticket offices close about 1 hour 45 minutes before the tower does.
The tower warns about lookalike sites: there is no 'skip the line' ticket and no official resale.
Booking for a group
One online order covers up to 9 people, with each visitor's name. Book everyone in one order so you share a time slot, and choose the right price for each person: 25 and over, 12 to 24, 4 to 11, or under 4 (free ticket).
From 29 September 2026, groups of more than nine people, guide included, can no longer buy at the ticket office and must buy online; tourism professionals book through ticketpro.toureiffel.paris.
Good to know
- Put a reminder in for 90 days before your date and check the official calendar that day.
- Visiting in January? Check whether the summit is closed for its yearly maintenance before you book it.
- Check the date and floor twice before paying: neither can be changed.
- There is no left-luggage office at the tower.
