Paris Catacombs tickets: when they go on sale

Online only, exactly 7 days before your time slot: each 15-minute entry slot goes on sale one week before it starts. At 15:00 Paris time on Thursday 15 October 2026, the 15:00 slot for Thursday 22 October came on sale.

When does booking open?
7 days before your time slot, to the minute. Slots run every 15 minutes from 09:45 to 19:15, and each one appears on the official ticket site a week before it starts, Paris time (CEST in summer, CET in winter). A 10:30 slot goes on sale at 10:30 the week before; a 17:00 slot at 17:00. This was seen on the ticket site on 15 October 2026; the Catacombs' own pages say only 'online booking only (7 days in advance)'.
How far ahead is that?
Exactly one week ahead.
Where do I book?
Only on the official Paris Musées ticket site, linked from catacombes.paris.fr, open to visitors from abroad. No tickets are sold on site, and the ticket site may first put you in a waiting room with a captcha.
Does it sell out?
Often within hours. At 15:00 Paris time on 15 October 2026, the ticket site showed 15, 16, 18 and 20 October sold out, and most morning slots for 22 October, released that morning, already gone. The Catacombs publish no figure; the 7-day limit is there to fight ticket fraud.
Can I cancel or change?
None. The official ticket site says tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded, and the date cannot be moved.

How to book

Tickets are for one 15-minute entry slot and include the audio guide: 31 EUR full price, 25 EUR reduced (with proof, for example students), 15 EUR for ages 8 to 17, and free under 8.

Free-admission visitors (disabled visitors and their carer, job seekers and some professionals) cannot book online. They collect a free ticket at the front desk on the day, with proof, and are let in even when the site shows sold out.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, 09:45 to 20:30, last entry 19:30; closed on Mondays, 1 January, 1 May and 25 December. The site reopened on 8 April 2026 after five months of works, with a new route and audio guide.

If it’s sold out

Check again later the same day: a new slot goes on sale every 15 minutes, so afternoon and evening slots for your date are released later than morning ones.

The Catacombs publish a list of authorised resellers, including GetYourGuide, Tiqets, Klook and Headout; buy only from that list. The Catacombs' own guided tours are currently unavailable, and there is no official resale.

Booking for a group

The official ticket site allows up to 5 tickets per order. A group of 6 or more needs two people buying in the same minute the slot opens, and you may not get the same slot.

A free-entry visitor collects their ticket at the desk on the day and enters in the same slot as the person they are with. Children under 14 must be with an adult, and the Catacombs suggest the visit for families with children from age 10. Strollers are not allowed; bring a baby carrier.

Tour operators and school groups book through separate group channels, not the individual ticket site.
