Connect Tripmo to VS Code
Add Tripmo to VS Code with one click, or with MCP: Add Server. Then GitHub Copilot’s chat plans your trips in it, on one map your group shares.
Opens VS Code, which asks you to install Tripmo for Copilot’s chat. Then sign in to Tripmo when it asks.
By hand
-
In VS Code, open the Command Palette and run MCP: Add Server.
-
Choose HTTP and paste this address:
https://app.tripmo.me/mcp -
Name it tripmo and choose Global, so every project has it.
-
Your browser opens Tripmo: sign in, or make an account, and choose Allow.
With Copilot Business or Enterprise, your organization turns on MCP servers in Copilot first.
What Tripmo will ask
When VS Code opens Tripmo, you sign in (or make an account), and Tripmo asks: VS Code wants to read and change the trips you’re in, as you.
Choose Allow. You can disconnect it at any time on your Tripmo profile.
Then say this.
Let’s plan a trip in Tripmo. Ask me where I’m going, roughly when and who’s coming, then start the trip. If I already have notes or a spreadsheet, I’ll paste them in for you to bring everything in.
Your trip appears on Tripmo as soon as VS Code saves it, with a link to share with the others.

Against VS Code's MCP docs, VS Code's install links. VS Code’s screens change now and then; if a step doesn’t match, its own help has the last word, and tell us.
What it costs, and who pays
Connecting is free, and so is joining a friend’s trip. Whoever starts a trip pays for it once, with a Trip Pass for one trip or Frequent Flyer for every trip they start in a year, and everyone they let in joins free. See pricing.
