Reichstag dome visits: when you can book

You can request a dome visit for the current month and the following month only, free, on the Bundestag's visitor service. On 15 October 2026 that means dates in October and November 2026.

When does booking open?
For the current month and the following month. When a new month starts, the month after it becomes available; the Bundestag does not say at what time. Requests for the next calendar year open in early or mid-November at the earliest. Guided tours can be requested for the current month and the two after it.
How far ahead is that?
Up to about 1 to 2 months ahead.
Where do I book?
Online through the Bundestag visitor service, or in person at its service centre next to the Reichstag. Visitors from abroad can register online; there is no telephone booking.
Does it sell out?
The Bundestag publishes no figure. Some guides say popular summer daytime slots fill weeks ahead, but this could not be confirmed.
Can I cancel or change?
No rules for visitors cancelling are published. The Bundestag may cancel at short notice on the day, for parliamentary business, events, weather or security, and cannot tell visitors in advance when it does.

How to book

Admission is free. Send an online request with a full list of the people coming: surname, first name and date of birth for each. The form only sends a request; the visitor service then confirms by email.

Entry is every 15 minutes, with the last at 21:45. Everyone aged 16 or over must show an original passport or ID card; copies are not accepted.

If it’s sold out

Go to the visitor service centre on Platz der Republik, in front of the Reichstag. If places are left, it issues a confirmation for a time at least two hours later.

The centre opens 08:00 to 20:00 from April to October and 08:00 to 18:00 from November to March, and 10:00 to 18:00 at weekends. A table reservation at the Käfer roof restaurant is another way up.

Booking for a group

One request covers the whole group, but you need every person's full name and date of birth before you start. The confirmation is personal and cannot be transferred, so names cannot be swapped later.

Teenagers aged 14 and 15 need a document with their name and photo; everyone 16 and over needs an official photo ID.
