Mexico City Grand Prix (F1) tickets: when they go on sale

The 2027 sale dates had not been announced on 15 October 2026; the 2027 race is on 29 to 31 October 2027. Last time, tickets went on sale on Ticketmaster Mexico about two weeks after the race: bank presales on 10 and 11 November 2025 and the general sale on 12 November 2025, each at 11:00 CST.

When does booking open?
2027 not announced; last year, mid-November at 11:00 CST. For the 30 October to 1 November 2026 race: Banamex presale Monday 10 November 2025 at 11:00, Banorte advance sale Tuesday 11 November at 11:00, general sale Wednesday 12 November 2025 at 11:00, Mexico City time (CST, UTC-6). People who registered by 7 November for the first-option right (DPO) had an earlier 'StayF1rst' window from 07:00 to 10:59 on each of those days. DPO holders will be emailed the process for 2027.
How far ahead is that?
About 11 to 12 months before the race.
Where do I book?
Only on Ticketmaster Mexico, ticketmaster.com.mx. The presale days are for Banamex and Banorte cardholders only; in the general sale any card works, and cards issued abroad are accepted online only.
Does it sell out?
Strong evidence of high demand. On 15 October 2026 Ticketmaster showed 12 of the 2026 grandstand listings with no availability and 6 with low availability. The promoter's chief executive said the 2025 race was 90% sold when sales opened and then sold out. There is no official minute-by-minute figure.
Can I cancel or change?
No changes or refunds once bought. Tickets are non-transferable and may not be resold. If the race is postponed you can use the ticket on the new date or ask for a refund; if it is cancelled, the face value plus service charges is refunded. The DPO is non-refundable and non-transferable.

How to book

Tickets are 3-day passes only, with numbered seats, sold on Ticketmaster Mexico. They are SafeTix digital tickets in the Mexico GP Account Manager: your phone is your ticket, with codes that keep changing.

2026 prices ran from MXN 3,900 (Grada 2A and the accessible zone) to MXN 61,750 (a Main Grandstand box with Speed Lounge), before Ticketmaster fees. Banamex and Banorte credit cards could pay over 6 or 12 months without interest.

The cardholder has to be the buyer and may be asked for official ID such as a passport. Expect a virtual queue: the organiser says Ticketmaster can handle 4,000 transactions a minute, that demand can be higher, and that stock is set aside for each sale phase.

If it’s sold out

Check Ticketmaster Mexico again for other grandstands, or the official hospitality options: 'Boletos VIP' on mexicogp.mx, suites through ventasvip@cie.com.mx, and F1 Experiences, Formula 1's own hospitality seller, which already takes deposits and a waitlist for its 2027 packages.

There is no official resale. The organisers take no responsibility for tickets bought from unauthorised sellers.

Booking for a group

Up to 8 tickets per account and/or card, and 8 per transaction. Buy the whole group in one order to sit together; several people queueing at once improves the odds, but separate orders will not be seated together. Groups can also ask ventasvip@cie.com.mx.

Everyone aged 4 and over needs a ticket, and a child must be with an adult who has a ticket. The terms call tickets non-transferable, so check with Ticketmaster how the buyer's tickets reach each person before race weekend.
