Tripmo Try it on your next trip

A Wanderlog alternative for groups who plan with AI

Stay on Wanderlog if the group will use it. Try Tripmo if each person already plans in ChatGPT, Claude or Grok and the plan should land in one place. Checked against Wanderlog’s site on 16 October 2026.

The short answer

Wanderlog is a travel app: a map, an itinerary, place guides, reservation import, and a way to split costs, with friends editing the same trip. Its help center says planning with friends stays free, and Pro is a paid subscription for a shorter list of extras. The homepage does not show what Pro costs.

Tripmo is not that app. It has no AI of its own. A group that already uses ChatGPT, Claude or Grok writes one shared plan, drawn on a map, without learning Wanderlog. That is the group trip planner page.

Wanderlog and Tripmo, as of October 2026

The Wanderlog column is its homepage and its help center on 16 October 2026, not a review. Where the homepage’s Pro block and its longer app description disagree, the table follows the Pro block.

What Wanderlog Tripmo
Collaboration Invite friends and edit the trip together in real time. The help center says it will not cap how many people you plan with. No new app. Each person adds from ChatGPT, Claude or Grok. Friends join with the trip’s link.
AI An AI assistant inside Wanderlog. It is listed on the homepage, and it is not in the Pro block. None of its own. ChatGPT, Claude and Grok do the thinking.
Map Places show on a map, with distances and times. Export to Google Maps is in the Pro block. The shared plan, on a map, by day.
Booking import Import flight and hotel reservations. Forwarding email is in the general list. Automatic Gmail scanning is in the Pro block. Does not import bookings. You book on the official site. Deadlines can sit on the plan.
Expenses A budget, expense tracking, and splitting the cost between tripmates. That list is not under Pro. Not a bill splitter.
Apps iPhone and Android. The homepage points at the App Store and Google Play. A website, in early access. Nothing to install.
Price model Planning with friends stays free, with no cap on trips or people. Pro is a paid subscription. The homepage does not show the price. Not stated on this page. Early access is the waitlist.

What Wanderlog does better

Place guides and recommendations, a map with distances and times, and phone apps. Expense tracking and splitting the cost. Importing a flight or a hotel from email. As of October 2026 its Pro block also names live flight updates, offline access, automatic Gmail scanning, route optimization, flight deals, unlimited attachments, and export to Google Maps. If the group wants that product, and will open it, stay there.

What Tripmo does differently

The plan is written from the AIs people already use. One person can be in ChatGPT, another in Claude, another in Grok, and the group sees one plan on a map. Nobody installs Wanderlog to take part. Tripmo does not discover places for you, does not split bills, and does not book. The group trip planner page is the longer version.
