Disney World dining reservations: when they open

At about 06:00 Eastern time, 60 days before the meal. Guests at Walt Disney World hotels can book 60 days before arrival for their whole stay, up to 10 nights: for a stay starting 1 December 2026, that was 2 October 2026.

When does booking open?
About 06:00 ET, 60 days before the meal. Hotel guests get their window 60 days before arrival, for stays of up to 10 nights, so they can book the last day of a stay about 70 days ahead. Disney says new booking windows open at approximately 06:00 each day; the resort is on Eastern time. Newly announced dining events can be booked no earlier than 06:00 on the day they are released.
How far ahead is that?
60 days ahead, up to about 70 for Disney hotel guests.
Where do I book?
Online on the Walt Disney World website or in the My Disney Experience app, with a MyDisney account; Disney asks guests to book dining online. Its dining line, (407) 939-3463, is listed for further help. Disney's pages do not say whether cards issued outside the US work online.
Does it sell out?
Disney publishes no figure; it says reservations are highly recommended and Character Dining is very popular. A fan site reports that the most popular tables, such as Be Our Guest, Cinderella's Royal Table, 'Ohana, Space 220 and Oga's Cantina, can fill within minutes of 06:00 ET. That is anecdotal.
Can I cancel or change?
Most restaurants allow no changes within 2 hours of the booking and charge $10 per person to cancel within 2 hours or for a no-show. Some charge more: the full price per person at Cinderella's Royal Table unless cancelled 2 hours ahead, and at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and the Magic Kingdom fireworks dessert parties unless cancelled a day ahead; $100 per person at Victoria & Albert's unless cancelled 5 days ahead. The confirmation email gives each restaurant's rule.

How to book

Book on the website or in the My Disney Experience app from about 06:00 ET on your opening day, logged in a few minutes before. Most restaurants hold the booking with a credit card and charge it only for a late cancellation or a no-show; some experiences are paid in advance.

If you stay at a Disney hotel, first link the hotel booking to your MyDisney account. That lets you book your whole stay at once and reach the limited tables some hotel restaurants keep for hotel guests.

For a table-service meal inside a park, everyone aged 3 and over also needs admission to that park on that date, and a park reservation may be needed. A dining reservation does not guarantee entry to the park.

If it’s sold out

Keep checking the app: Disney says a cancelled reservation goes straight back on sale to other guests.

For a big group, ask Disney's Custom Celebrations & Gatherings team about private dining, offered at select restaurants.

Booking for a group

Disney's own pages give no maximum party size. planDisney panelists say many restaurants take at most 8 people in one online booking. A larger group can book two tables at the same time, with different people on each, since Disney does not let a guest hold two bookings within 2 hours of each other; sitting together is not guaranteed.

Book for everyone, children included: Disney recommends a reservation for the total number of guests, regardless of age. Where a meal costs the full price on a late cancellation, that charge is per person.
